Layout Design
PROFECT OVERVIEW
This layout design project was created as a personal portfolio case and as a visual concept for promoting the short film “Virap”, directed by Arshak Yeritsyan. My goal was to design a cinematic visual identity for the film something between a printed photo-book, a magazine editorial, and a promotional art publication.
DIRECTOR'S PERSPECTIVE
Director Arshak Yeritsyan describes Virap as a wordless fable built from silence, landscape, and existential tension. The design aims to reflect this tone with minimalistic compositions, muted colors, and a sense of isolation.
MY DESIGN APPROACH
My intention was to create a visual rhythm that mirrors the emotional pacing of the film. I focused on clean grids, wide margins, muted colors, and stark photography allowing the atmosphere to speak for itself. The typography follows a slow, meditative flow: long paragraphs, asymmetric placement, and intentional silence on the page, echoing the silence in the film.
